RES are creative technology experts and co-created the world’s largest permanent video installation at the National Museum of Qatar. As part of its ambitious ‘Art Film’ project, the Doha Film Institute commissioned nine filmmakers to produce content about Doha’s culture and history, which would be projection-mapped in high-resolution onto the museum’s internal surfaces, every day from launch.
The building itself, designed by architect Jean Nouvel, takes inspiration from a desert rose and is formed from a series of colliding discs. The unique pattern on these discs was used as a theme throughout the book from the gold-foiled cover to the title pages.
